Reader Frontline: Testing, So You Don’t Have To: Soap & Glory The Greatest Scrub of All

Cheryl tested this scrub for two weeks.

High quality, trendy, tongue-in-cheek packaging. On appearance alone the scrub would definately stand out on the shelf from similar products. The tube is great to handle and use, and its very easy to control the amount to be dispensed. Although it recommends a pea sized amount, I found it needed a little more – about the size of a five pence piece – to apply all over face and neck area. The scub is very easy to apply to damp skin; it didn’t immediately sink in but sat nicely on the skin without sliding around uncontrollably. Its got a great menthol smell ad feels slightly cold on application. Instructions are given as to the amount of use per week, depending on skin type. I used it roughly once every three days, whilst in the shower or at the sink. It gives a great refereshing feeling whilst using, the harder you press the more you can feel the ‘scrub’ effect, so you can easily choose the pressure which suits you. The spherical beads, whilst extremely effective, are not too gritty like some scrubs and consequently are extremely easy to rinse off without leaving an annoying residue. Once rinsed off my skin felt silky soft, and looked bright and glowing. The scrub is a perfect base for moisturiser and eye cream to be applied afterwards as recommended – it just sinks into the skin! I found the scrub gives a long lasting softness with regular use. Also, whilst the price is in the mid range for these products, a little does go a long way, so a great investment and addition to your beauty regime. I give it 9/10! 7.82 pounds.
