I was sent a bottle of Brut aftershave. A little bit suspicious, I smelled it – and it’s just the same as it ever was – a mix of alcohol and, well, blokes! It kind of warms down to a gentler smell that’s slightly woody – as long as you don’t ‘splash it on all over’ of course, a la Henry Cooper. I gave it away almost the same day to the 17 year old son of a friend and was astonished at his reaction. He actually hugged me – kissed me on both cheeks – and shot off to break it open! Turns out Brut is now retro enough that it’s well and truly back on trend – he was completely thrilled. Who knew?

AHAHAHA!!!!
The famous men taste!!! Lol
I love the names of the old 70s aftershaves. There was an Avon one called ‘Hud’. Genius.
Ha Ha!
This was the first present I bought my dad with my own pocket money, I was so chuffed with what i’d bought! Igot a mumbled thankyou and that was it and it sat in his drawer for years!
Come to think of it, I wonder if it’s still there after all these years? if I can get more money for it as it will now be “Vintage”
love it! Brut always makes me feel so nostalgic.. I remember my dad having it. I’m not sure I remember the smell, but, what a blast from the past!
I think it didn’t sell well in my country, because the name sounds almost the same as “dirt” in Polish ;P
LOL if i close my eyes i can still kinda smell it
