Fast forward to the new year, and the perfume name on everyone’s lips will be Maison Francis Kurkjdian. Fragrancer to the great and the good..Dior, YSL etc..Kurkjdian is coming to Liberty in London. He’s clearly thinking outside of the box already, producing a fragrance bracelet (that you’d actually want to wear) and these gorgeous little bottles of properly scented bubbles: choose from Cold Mint, Pear or Herbs and lavish your little darlings or better still, your inner child.
While on the subject of Liberty, this store houses a myriad of amazing beauty brands, particularly in the fragrance department, and yet, so little of it gets the press it deserves, and therefore the wider consequence of more people knowing about the new gems. When will they wake up and farm out the media bits to the PR’s who can do a proper job of it? Unless a new-to-the-store brand invests in its own PR (expensive and sometimes risky for smaller, edgier brands) it’s almost by chance we ever discover it exists. I haven’t actually checked if they do have a PR agency – if they do, I’d say it’s not good value for money so far….
