Beautiful History: Lips of Luxury

It's not often I wish I'd been to a packaging conference, but in the instance of Luxe-Pack, a luxury goods packaging exhibition in Monaco, I really so do. Because, perfume and cosmetics history expert, Jean-Marie Martin-Hattemburg, (and that is some double-barrelling going on there) curated the Lips of Luxury Exhibit showing how lipsticks and packaging have evolved over time. The picture above says it all. The three lipstick Couturine dolls were produced by Revlon in 1961/1963 and depict Shirley Mclaine, Marilyn Monroe and Bette Davis. Oh, to have been there. I'm hoping there might be a book of the exhibition. Come on, J-M M-H - get scribing.

maybe the only thing holding him up is the lack of a co-author?
