I love a face mask, so was happy to try Darren’s Naked Truth Face Renewal Mask, which is priced at £21.99. It promised exfoliation, radiance boosting and soothing and lived up to expectations – exceeded in fact. While I’m not a big fan of ‘chunky’ exfoliators, the crushed olive stones did a nice, gentle job of exfoliating without feeling abrasive. You apply the mask, leave it for ten minutes (hopefully while you eat chocolates, drink champagne or steep in a hot and lovely bath) while the mask gets to work. It contains copper, magnesium, zinc and lily extracts. After ten minutes, gently massage the product around your face so the exfoliation takes effect and rinse off.

What I found afterwards was that my skin felt really beautifully soft – remarkably so in fact – and the feeling lasted into the next day. Impressive. It also felt very supple and moisturised. I’d liken it to the feeling when you’ve just put your best foundation on and when you touch your skin it has a very silken feel..it’s the only way I can think to describe it. Radiance wise, I used it at night so it is hard to properly tell – I hope my skin looked how it felt! Anyway, I loved it and can see myself using it long term. The range goes live at Superdrug online (www.superdrug.com) from tomorrow (or today if you are reading this via email subscription).. Thursday.
