I quite like MUA (MakeUp Academy) – I have a vivid purple shadow that I wear regularly and people always comment – in fact, it’s one of the colours that I can actually recognise on other people right down to the name and brand. While I have seen feedback on the brand that it is rather oily, I can’t say that I’ve had that problem at all, although I don’t have a) oily skin or b) oily eyelids.
The MUA professional range is designed to be a bit more sophisticated than simple single shades, and the 12 pan palette I was given to try certainly proves that. It’s called Heaven & Earth and is every-shade brown with some useful highlighting shades, too. I wore some of the colours on Saturday night (with Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion underneath) for a brown smoky eye (with a red lip!) and it lasted the night no problem without any creasing or fading.
What I will say though is that, while for £4, the palette is an absolute bargain, the actual powder tore up somewhat after I’d used the foam applicator that comes with it – the texture is super-soft which gives it amazing blendability but at the price of a bit of a messed up palette afterwards (see below).
All in all though, for £4, I just can’t see how you can go wrong with this. It exceded my expectations, that’s for sure. Find it at Superdrug.

THis looks perfect for me. Shame I own far than enough eyeshadows right now.
Have you tried the MUA Proffesional Bronzer?

this is a lovely palette are they out in stores now? maybe if you try them with a shadow brush instead of sponge applicator the damage wont be as bad?

Hey, any idea where I could find MUA products in Europe? Sadly, Superdrug only sells in UK, and Google doesn’t help.
Hi Corina.. just checked for you and in about 6 weeks time the UK web site will be equipped to send outside of UK.. so patience!
Very pretty eye palette! You are lucky you don’t have oily eyelids. I do but thank goodness for eye shadow primer!
i have oily eyelids so I’m wondering if using an eye primer will help keep these shadows on longer (if I was to buy) and use this palette.
Oh, thank you so much for the great news!
Now this looks like an even cheaper alternative for Sleek palettes, I can’t wait to try it
You used the sponge applicator that came with it? I didn’t think anyone actually did that! I’m sure that using the appropriate brushes would not mess up the palette in that way.
wow this pallete looks amazing
for £4 i would’nt mind the coloures being a bit messed up after using them i could cope with that for the price

I’ll definitely be checking these out! Perhaps a replacement for Sleek palettes??
