Now, scented nail polish is not new news; Revlon’s fabulous fruity ones this season and Miners last season amongst others really hit the spot. But this one claims to be more of a perfume than a fun and fruity novelty. Said to be a violet leather scent with notes of black leather, tobacco and ylang ylang, I’m very interested to see whether this really takes off. I love the fact that the creator has used a perfume bottle style lid on the nail polish – that is a clever detail. It’s US only right now, but Liberty stock StrangeBeautiful so I guess we might get the chance to find out if it stands up.

The bottle is quite a nice idea, not something I’d ever want to pay for though.
A lot of fragrances contain tobacco notes. It smells very sweet, not like a burning cigarette!
I’m kind of intrigued by the idea of this nail varnish. It seems like it would smell very floral. Since I’m in the states at the moment, I might try to track it down and try it out!
I’ve never heard of fragranced nail varnish before, and I’m not sure if it is weird or not. . . quite curious though, I will admit!
