For Chanelophiles, Chanel's World at Harrods is everything and more than a fan could possibly hope for. Chanel has more or less taken over Harrods with the famous linked C logo appearing everywhere from flags to lift doors, in a spectacular Chanelification. The main event has to be the Chanel 'Une Promenade' installation. The installation contains several rooms, each one paying homage to a different aspect of the brand, so you enter through big fat pearl beaded curtains into a 'garden' with a fountain trickling and Chanel whimsies such as a quilted watering can and bay trees decorated with camellias.
A child's bedroom, filled with impossibly beautifully dressed Harrods teddies resplendent in Chanel capes (that the bears were actually sent to Paris to be fitted for!) and Gabrielle Chanel dolls, equally exquisitely clothed. Chunky figures of Karl Lagerfeld are dotted about the room while a doll's house is intricately detailed with Chanel references.

The Chanel beauty area on the ground floor has been totally Chaneled-Up - sweetie jars full of Chanel make up and giant fragrance bottles are fabulous - a real celebration of the brand.
The installation runs from 5th September for 3 weeks - I can't recommend it enough - and it's free. I suspect this one will queue round the block so get there early if you want to see it. And, if you can't you can always check out the windows..which are stuffed with Chanel things. If, of course, you aren't a Chanel fan, avoid like the plague!
So finally, I have to mention that not only did all my Chanel dreams come true, but I also finally met Sam Chapman one half of the uber-tubers, PixiWoos. Because I was properly in the Chanel mood, she kindly came with me to Chanel on Sloane street so I could pick out a ring and she was approached in the shop by a fan for a photo! Blimey! That was interesting enough, but when a customer asked one of the shop assistants to make her a cup of coffee, I nearly fell off my chair. "We don't serve coffee," was the reply. And as if that wasn't excitement enough, the woman in front of me was getting a refund that added up to the national debt of the UK. Chin - meet floor. So, I'm star stuck in about a million ways today, but have a lovely sparkly ring to show for it.
NB: Sneaky look at my new bling although my hands look like sausages.. sigh.

Looks completely amazing. All of it.
MY eyes were drawn to your bracelet though! I can't help it. I'm a magpie. And it's Chanel!
I'm in LDN tomorrow, and I know where I'm going :-) Love Chanel :)
Come back and see me for a Chanel manicure when I'm there (15th and 21st) xx
I cannot help but repeat the previous posts - noticed and loved your bracelet and please show us your new Chanel ring - for those of us that live too far to visit London and have to live vicariously through BBB!
So Gorgeous! Too bad I'm already broke this month from Mr. Ford!
That's so funny - someone asking for coffee! I have to check this out - looks pretty cool!

Absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! Just one complaint... the phrase "if you're not a fan of Chanel". Huh? Do such people exist & if so, why on earth would they be reading your fabulously Chanel-ified blog? :)
Thank you for covering this event. I live in the US and can't attend. IT LOOKED AMAZING! I LOVE CHANEL! I'm going to share a couple of your photos with my US friends. We have to see it through pictures. Simply beautiful!

Chanel Wonderland! How beautiful!
I've ordered that gorgeous blush, but really want the lipsticks too! Sadly they're not online. :( Argh, not sure I can make it to London in the next 3 weeks. :(
Wow, this looks very cool. Also, I'm loving the word 'Chanelification' ;-)
I collect teddies and one of the Chanel bears would be the ultimate!

Do you think that sometime after the event is finished you could do a full retrospective run down on what those of us who live too far away from missed - or do it now but do a spoiler alert at the beginning so anyone who is going to go knows not to read it - plus check out the link above, just seen it online and it is so clever and if you have not already seen it you will love it!
