When I went on my honeymoon (quite a long time ago now *cough*) to Sri Lanka I bought a scented shampoo called Gee, Your Hair Smells Lovely purely because of the crazy name. Having done a bit of research, I realise now that what I actually bought was a rip-off of a shampoo called Gee, Your Hair Smells Terrific which still exists! It was apparently a very popular shampoo in the 1970s and 1980s and was made by Andrew Jergens Co. Later, the license was sold to a company in the Philippines, where it continues to be a success. Who knew?

I WANT THIS!!! That is a fab name!!
That is one of my mom’s favorite shampoos from her days as a youth. She mentioned one year that she wished she could find it, so for Christmas, I hunted down a company that still made it and bought her a few bottles. She was shocked! I love this shampoo too!
I remember this shampoo! Reminds of the days when I spent my weekends at the rollerskating rink with the Farrah Fawcett-like hairdo, wearing my Dittos and carrying a comb in my back pocket. The typical look of the late 70′s LOL (Just watch the movie Roller Boogie!)
I didn’t know it still existed! I can’t find it where I live. I might have to go scrounging for it.
Oh man, I DO remember this brand! (I’m in NYC!)
Right, who knew it would be a big hit in the Philippines!
I even remember the commercials for this shampoo!
