You know when you get something that you know you’ll wear forever? Yep, that. While Avon isn’t a brand I use very much, I do love their Supershock Gel Liners. They’re so smooth to apply, the pigment is always good and there is something for everyone shade-wise. So, when I was sent Golden Fawn, launching in February, a new shade for Spring, my immediate impression was that it is a near-perfect dupe for another favourite liner, Chanel Long Lasting Eyeliner in Rose Satine. It’s the same kind of dirty, antiqued pastel with a metallic finish that makes eyes pop because it brings light to the rims, but while they are pretty close in colour, it isn’t an exact match. Chanel Rose Platine is a little lighter with, as the name suggests, the barest undertone of pink, while Golden Fawn has no pink tinge. As you can see from the pictures though, in the light, they are quite similar, although the colours indicated on the pencils show them to be less similar than they really are. So, Avon is a good option if you’re looking for a ‘nearly’ shade of Rose Satine.
