Jonathan Ward Sneaky Peek at Orange Opium

It’s June and I’m talking Christmas.. I know, I know. BUT, I’ve had this fab candle which will be my winter solace on the burn and it is just delicious. Somewhat typically of Jonathan Ward, it’s rather untypical for a seasonal candle. Orange Opium is borne of the concept that you can make something beautiful from recklessness, and while OO (as I’m calling it.. as in, ooh!) is a spiced up version of orange zest, there’s a creaminess to it as well. You won’t find yourself able to pick out usual notes such as cinnamon or any of the other notes that Christmas candles rest their laurels on; it’s more an infusion of comfort and dreamy warm wrapping with a richly spiced undertone that lets you know it’s no ordinary seasonal scent.

Best news of all is that as well as a candle at £35 and diffuser that is also £35, there is a travel diffuser at £22 making it just that little bit more affordable for those who have yet to try JW Candles.

  1. Unsurprisingly, this sounds beautiful… and a Christmas scent without cinnamon is always a winner for me!
