Yes, you read that right. WWD.com reports that Karl, the man whose cat can use an IPad (ahem), is hooking up in collaboration with Shu Uemura, after using the brand’s make up for many years to colour his illustrations, to produce a limited edition make up range. Although 80% of Shu Uemura’s business is in Asia, we will see it here in the UK. Unfortunately for the US, Shu Uemura pulled out of the US other than on-line, a while back.
The collaboration launches in November and although is swathed in secrecy is said to be colour heavy with an ironic twist. Heck. That could mean anything but I’m guessing it means everything to do with Karl and nothing to do with Chanel. Bearing in mind that he did a Sephora collaboration last year (remember the scramble for Karl Lagerfeld Snow Globes?), who knows what is next. Superdrug…are you listening?
