I’m so impressed with this super cheap and cheerful little brow pencil from Maybelline. Basically, you might as well ditch your expensive brow definer and save your beauty pennies for other more pressing things, because the Master Shape Brow Pencil, at £2.99, equals any of them. There’s a little brush on one end and colour on the other with lids for each so they’re totally portable. If I was going to be ultra-fussy, I’d say that maybe the texture isn’t quite as soft as other, more expensive pencils, but it’s a fine margin.
Thanks to a legendary clear-out of my beauty room yesterday, I’ve lost all the accompanying press materials that came with these little beauties; so from memory, I think this has only previously been in the States and it’s coming to the UK any day now. I have it in two shades as seen above; light brown and dark brown – I thought I would be the light brown, but in fact, ended up using the darker shade and it was perfect. I think there are two more shades. I’ve just checked on www.boots.com and it isn’t there yet – I will update this post as soon as I find out more.
PS: someone in comments (mylipsbutbetter) just raised a very good point.. since it’s so thin, I wonder how you sharpen it? I haven’t got to the sharpening stage yet….

Oh i do hope it comes in a non red tinted brown shade. it would be a dream! Thanks for posting and keeping us all in the loop. Love a bargain that actually gets used every day.
How do you deal with sharpening this? All the reviews I’ve read have said it’s a nightmare, but I’d love to find a good drugstore brow pencil so I’m hoping that Maybelline has fixed the issue!
This sounds really promising – I love my Laura Mercier brow pencil but it’s so pricy!

A decent black-brown brow pencil is the one thing I still do have to fork out for (aside from foundation) so I’m looking forward to this launch!
