There is a huge fan base for Stratton compacts and vintage ones are highly collectable. Stratton first came into being in 1920, but didn’t begin producing compacts until the 1930’s. Stratton as it was no longer exists, but the name has been sold to another company who are slowly reviving it with fantastic collaborations like the one above from Lulu Guinness.

Powder compacts might not be as popular as they once were, but they’ve never lost their elegance and sophistication. This one is at Harvey Nichols.
