Giorgio Armani Maestro Fusion Make-Up Complexion Perfector

This, I think, is something to get quite excited about. The Giorgio Armani Maestro Fusion Make-Up Complexion Perfector takes a whole new approach to blurring the complexion to give it an airbrushed and flawless look.

The difference with Maestro Fusion is that instead of sticking to a traditional foundation formula of emulsions with water in oil containing fillers, Maestro is made purely using five oils (lotus oil among them) and smart pigments. So, it isn’t a foundation exactly, but a complexion perfector with a thin colour film. The oils, volative, semi-volatile and non-volatile, create a dry-oil effect but evaporate at different rates to ensure long lasting moisture.

I cannot wait to try it, and as soon as I do, I’ll post the findings. It launches into Selfridges on 1st September for £36.

I’ve had this for a couple of months and while I also think it’s really exciting (it has a dropper!) and am loving this move to fluids that cover and yes, it’s a liquid, it IS basically, in essence, a foundation. Not some new category like they’re claiming because it still does what a foundation does albeit in a light, glowy manner.

Oh – one thing I was a bit disappointed by: there’s a lot of silicones in there too, by the way, dimethicone is the first ingredient on the listing on the box I have. I love silicone so not a gripe for my skin but just given the talking-up the oils got.

not a bad price at all for a high end foundation! I lost my Armani foundation so this is a good excuse to replace it!
