You know when something turns out much better than you ever thought it would? Well, that, with the MAC Marilyn Monroe collection. I have a couple of swatches to show you but overall the packaging is great; glossy and shiny with very high quality images of Marilyn and I don’t know if I’ve come over all soft but the shades I have here do actually look colours she might have worn.

Although I do love the shades, I really feel like they could have done better with the packaging. It’s a bit drab and uninspiring. There are far nicer images of her IMO that would have looked better for a makeup collection dedicated to her.
Are you sure it’s launching today in the UK? I thought it was only coming out next week.

I have to agree with Simone G here and say that the packaging isnt very inspiring…Its a bit cheap looking and doesnt do the beautiful Marilyn justice! Marilyn was luminous with a timeless quality and they had a great opportunity here to be really creative and do something original. If it wasnt for the MAC brand on the packaging, you wouldnt know this was a MAC product, it looks like every other lipstick or blusher with a stock Marilyn Monroe pic on the front.Im not a fan of the black and red here. MAC have had some awesome packaging in the past but somehow I dont think this works. That said the colours look nice so worth a look I think x
Oh dear…I’m sure all the colours are stellar but the packaging is awful…sorry MAC, I won’t be getting any this time…
I am excited for this to be released – I have seen a few swatches and this looks like its going to be a great collection. The lipsticks are so pigmented. I bet it will sell out fast I will need to be quick.
