Beauty at Fortnum & Mason

I had a lovely wander round the bath and body section of Fortnum & Mason today – one of the things I really love about it is that it is usually quite quiet so you can just browse and enjoy without feeling rushed or hurried. Above are the gorgeous Caron coloured spray bottles. They’re steep at £72 (with 20ml of your choice of EDT fragrance) but I’m not sure I know a more glamorous way to keep your favourite scent.
Caron Poudre

Above is Lady Primrose, a US brand that’s all about decadent packaging – again, high price points but very boudoir and glam.

I totally fell in love with these beautiful lavender sachets.. I think they were around the £20 mark but they are so pretty.

Good old Bronnley lemon soaps that totally remind me of my grandma who saved them for her guest bathroom so it always smelled beautifully lemony.

Finally, these handkerchiefs (or is it handkerchieves.. such a long time since I’ve even written that word!) – how could anyone blow their nose on these?

PS Commenters are noticing the grammatical error.. I didn’t even see it myself! However, I’ve checked on the Roy Orbison site where the song lyrics are and that is how he spelled it, it seems.

I have to have the lavender sachet with the Roy Orbison quote on it xx

20 quid for “in dreams your mine”? Surely for that much they could’ve employed a proof reader? I love the scent bottles, but arghhh that sachet is killing me.

Wow! Gorgeous pictures..love this blog so much.

Oh, my! I had the same reaction as PeachBellini. I could never get past such ignorance for one quid; let alone twenty.

It’s a shame there’s a spelling mistake on the first sachet! You’d think they could afford to spell-check it… I’m sorry, but I just can’t tolerate this kind of linguistic slobbery!

  6. I can’t remember the last time i went into Fortnum and Mason – these pictures are making me want to go :)

They need to release a new sachet with *you’re* on it and nothing else. That, I’d buy.
