Sleek MakeUp Lashes

Sleek MakeUP is introducing lashes to its range from 3rd December. They’re kind of super-lashes in that they are very long and very full. There are 8 styles coming and they’ll cost from £6.49 (at Superdrug). Personally, I feel a little squeamish about human hair lashes, which these are. There is always a little niggle at the back of my mind that the human hair industry is awash with unethical practices that I don’t want any part of it. That’s absolutely not to say that the Sleek ones have anything other than completely ethical sourcing, but as I say, it just leaves a little bit of a moral niggle.

I agree with you…its a rather odd thing to know that the are lashes you are wearing are from another human being….

I entirely agree, see today’s report in the Guardian on the human hair trade:

I find human hair lashes to give a more natural look but I try not to think where they originate really. A little bit disappointed by the price. I don’t mind that eylure or ardell charge £ 6.49 for lashes: it’s their speciality, but Sleek? Greedy!!
