YSL Lipstick Sculpture

So, you might wonder sometimes what to do with your excess lipsticks. If you look at the cube-oblong-thing above, it’s actually made from YSL Rouge Pur Couture, all 330lbs of it. The shade is 1 Le Rouge. So, ya know – on those days that you’re twiddling your thumbs… The piece is called 13M de beaute, by Fabrice Hyber.

It’s actually on show at the Palais de Tokyo, Paris, which is highly annoying as I was there on Thursday looking at the Chloe exhibition and if I’d had a clue I’d have had to go and give it a quick kiss for perfect lips. The Chloe exhibit is quite small but very interesting.. particularly the drawings by Karl Lagerfeld which were very much not done in the make up colours of Shu Uemura. Part of the Karl for Shu story is that he always uses Shu colours for illustrations. Well, clearly not always.
