I’m a recent convert to Aveda Clove Shampoo and Conditioner which claims to enhance brown (and honey) hair shades using coffee. I’m quite surprised to find that it actually does! Not in any dramatic way, but it certainly gives some richer, deeper tones to my brown hair.

The conditioner looks revolting, as you can probably imagine, but it’s a lovely, softening and detangling conditioner as well as a tone enhancer. I ought to loathe the smell, but to be honest, it’s very refreshing – my hair feels and smells super-clean after using; they’ve sweetened up the natural clove smell so while it is still sharp, the edge has been taken off.

All in all, I’m really pleased to have this addition to my routine; it definitely brings a subtle something as well as being an all round great shampoo and conditioning duo. The shampoo is £25 (but you get a litre) and the conditioner is £20.
