I’ve just had a quick read of WWD and they’re reporting on a forthcoming trend for nails that has been rumbling away in the formulations background for quite some time. It’s for a gel-like manicure that doesn’t need any of the LED curing; a hybrid really between gel technology and normal polish but that gives mega shine and more durability, like gels do. Sally Hansen (in the US) has already brought out Gel Strips that still do need LED curing, however, their Complete Salon Manicure nail polish promises 10 days wear with a gel finish and no curing.
The no-cure gel polish is going to be the thing that pushes the nail market into the stratosphere… it’s already worth $768 million! Watch this space because they ARE coming to the UK and they WILL rock your nail world!
Going on the wishlist now. Am going to be really interested to see how these compare, might even hold back on my gel training.
