I change it up a lot when it comes to face products: I’m lucky enough to have the chance of trying lots of different products and some invariably stick around longer than others.

My preferred method of cleansing in summer is with micellars: I’m currently nearing the bottom of the Avene micellar and it’s probably the third or fourth bottle I’ve finished. More, probably. If my skin is feeling dry, I use Erno Lazlo Phormula 3-9 Repair Cream which is SO expensive I hardly even dare say what the price is (but it works!). Otherwise, I am currently using the Institut Esthederm Intensif Hyaluronic range which is wonderful; it leaves my skin silky soft and completely hydrated. I’d go as far as to say that after using the serum, it actually feels as though I’ve already added a primer. I can’t recommend this range highly enough, particularly for older skin and it stands out as a hydrator that immediately makes skin feel better.

BioEffect is my absolute stand-by SOS product – it just seems to do more than any other product I’ve tried in terms of making skin glow. It contains EGF which is a controversial ingredient in some quarters (although BioEffect use wheat derived EGF) so you’d have to make your own call on that but also contains a good level of hyaluronic. It’s one of the very few products that I have put on before I went to bed and woken up to look in the mirror and seen visible results – it’s that quick. Melvita Extraordinary Waters pretty much live up to their name.. a kind of water/serum hybrid, they’re incredibly skin softening. I use the rose one which smells divine. I’ve been trying out the Ole Henriksen Lemon Strip Flash Peel (in place of my regular love, Elemis Tri Enzyme Exfoliating Mask) that uses enzymes to exfoliate away any dead skin cells. It’s a little bit of a wonder-worker although if you have sensitive skin it may leave it temporarily reddened. Lemon Strip Flash Peel is a super-quick mask – three minutes is all you need – and it’s a perk up that leaves my skin very soft and instantly brighter.

Finally, the Comfort Zone Hydramemory Mask absolutely does the job for boosting up moisture in the skin. So many masks feel fabulous on, but once washed off, you’re pretty much back where you started. I’d say that Hydramemory leaves my skin feeling hydrated all day and even gives it a ‘polished’ feel afterwards. Currently, Lemon Peel followed by Hydramemory is my go-to if I need to look half decent.
