YSL Palette City Drive Arty

So this is the stand out palette from YSL’s autumn beauty range; very pretty and shimmer shot with a lime that’s rather unexpected.

You can use these colours wet or dry – wet for more intensity, which I think the darker shades will need for more impact, but these are swatched dry. I love the glimmering blue shade but not quite sure how wearable the lime is.. I need to try it on my eyes to see whether it’s a goer or not. The presentation is immaculate – the outer casing of the palette has larger-than-life pink YSL on the top – but at £42, I’m not totally blown away.

The Radiance Blush is also very pretty – but I can’t help feeling I’ve seen this before in a million permutations and it’s also quite shimmery to you’d have to want to sparkle a bit, which I don’t.

I think the big seller in this collection is going to be YSL Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick in Prune Avenue (no. 54).. the densest raisin shade I’ve ever come across; gorgeously vampy and succulent. It’s already for sale at Selfridges for £25 HERE along with the rest of the autumn 2013 range.
