NARS Lip gloss has had a revamp; an all new formula for existing colours and seven new shades as well. I notice that the new NARS Lipgloss line-up consists of 30 shades while the existing line up comprises 38 shades so it might well be that some are going.
From left to right in the above and below pictures the new shades are: Sixties Fan, Istria, Eternal Red, Salamanca, Priscilla, Tasmania and Quito.
So, what’s different? A new doe foot applicator, new package design and longer wear but between you and me I don’t think there is any difference particularly in the formula – if there is, it isn’t radical. I love NARS gloss anyway and can’t really tell a difference between the new and the old. BUT, what is definitely new is the price – a hike from £17.50 to £19.50. I do not know what is in these to make them £2 more expensive – I hope it’s gold or something, but somehow I doubt it!
The new shades launch on May 1st – I know I’ll wear most of these colours because I like their versatility; they’re sheer but you can be generous and get a much more saturated look if you want. NARS glosses are always super-glossy and comfortable on the lip – I don’t find them drying either which is a huge plus.
I’m popping in some swatches, by request, of the NARS Contour Blush. Above is Paloma which is the second lightest of the three Contour Blushes.
Don’t forget, I have swatched at intensity – using a blush and contour brush you will get a much more diluted effect that you can build to whatever intensity you like.
This swatch is of Gienah which is the darkest of the Contour Blushes, again at intensity. I’m really going to have to have a crack at contouring! My original post on NARS Contouring Blush is HERE.

Hate it when a brand re-introduces a product and makes it more expensive! Grrr

I love NARS, it’s easily my favourite brand.. But I’m not sure that the price hike is justified! The Contour Blush looks lovely though. I wonder how it would compare to the Kevin Aucoin Sculpting Powder.

These colors are so hot right now. NARS has to up there with Mac quality.
That’s so annoying that they’ve increased the price of them! Priscilla looks like a lovely shade xx
