Neal’s Yard Remedies

I can easily remember when Neal’s Yard Remedies Wild Rose Beauty Balm first launched so it’s something of a surprise that it’s having its tenth anniversary! Neal’s Yard has called on the talents of artist, Alice Shields, to illustrate the packaging making the balm look all kinds of pretty. Very often with ‘anniversary’ editions you will only get the special design on the outer packaging which of course is the first thing that goes into the recycling bin so I’m really pleased to see the designs continue onto the actual product.

So, if you’re new to Neal’s Yard Remedies Wild Rose Beauty Balm, it’s one of those faithful products that can multi-task across many areas from cleansing through to softening heels or acting as sunburn relief. The scent is not so much rosy as herby which gives it a slightly medicinal aroma; the main ingredients are rosehip seed oil, patchouli, borage and geranium (you have to wonder then, why it’s called Wild Rose). While very hydrating, it’s not a product you’d use every day to moisturise unless your skin is excessively dry, but more a beauty cupboard staple that’s a pleasure to rediscover for all those little beauty niggles that crop up now and again. Multi-taskers don’t get more effective than this.

The 10th Anniversary Edition of Neal’s Yard Remedies Wild Rose Beauty Balm launches in May for £37.
