Rapid Cleanse
Rapid Cleanse

Since I’m loving everything Sarah Chapman right now – especially the Morning Facial Oil (which I use morning and night) – I couldn’t wait to dive into the newest product, Sarah Chapman Rapid Radiance Cleanse. The cleanser has two purposes – to refresh tired skin with a boost of lactic acid and salicylic enzymes and to act – if you wish – as a two minute face mask to intensify the results.

It’s scented with neroli, petitgrain and geranium, but to me, it smelled generically ‘botanical’ and if you don’t like highly fragranced products, give this one a miss, because in my view it is quite powerful. It’s creamy on application, but the longer I left it on, the more I could feel it being ‘active’. To be honest, I couldn’t really tell if it was stinging or just being unusually ‘active’. I find with wash-off cleansers that they leave my skin feeling dry – I’m going great guns til it comes to the wash off and then it’s as if I haven’t used any balm or lotion at all and just done the whole thing with water. Same with this – I did notice that my skin didn’t feel very flexible afterwards, despite the presence of oils in the mix, and I wanted to put moisturiser on straight away.

In terms of smoothing and brightening, my skin didn’t feel unusually smooth but I think with every day use Sarah Chapman Rapid Cleanse could certainly make inroads on skin clarity. Given the choice between a cleanser that has no impact on clarity and a cleanser that does, I’d always choose the latter. I would avoid this if your skin is really sensitive however – it’s quite a strong cleanser/mask. It’s £29 HERE.
